Ability to plan work according to current and projected needs. Direct and organize staff and equipment to meet project requirements and deadlines. Prioritize work and tasks as directed by Production Manager Knowledge of and experience with commercial and military marine/ship standards and specifications. Work with minimum supervision Excellent communication skills, good attitude and exceptional work ethic Interact with customers as required Meet deadlines and budget constraints
? Plan the schedule and ensure material is ordered and on hand to support job requirements as outlined by the ship superintendent they are assigned to.? Attend Meetings to coordinate and plan with the appropriate personnel for accomplishing the job.? Coordinate with the Production Manager for manpower and ensuring manpower is available and/or used effectively to complete project according to time frame and budget allowance.? Conduct team meetings, execute plans and adjust schedules as necessary.? Submit daily task plan before start of shift and submit progress percentage.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises Responsible for assisting management, in mentoring and review of performance on a regular basis Develop work and production schedules, project staffing needs Approve Time Cards, requests for time off Other duties as assigned.
Education/Training Requirements: Knowledge of the marine industry and NAVSEA Standards Preferred mechanical engineering background Must be flexible in work hours At least 5 years of ship repair or marine industry experience preferred Extensive knowledge of ship repair processes. Knowledge of managing Federal Contracts Proficient with MS Office and various office tools Blueprint and schematic reading/interpretation
Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain DBIDS and TWIC card Valid State of Hawaii drivers license in good standing, class 3 or higher
When necessary, develop schedule of projects and forward it to ship superintendent.? Submit list of materials required to accomplish tasks using requisition forms.? Submit documentation for change orders and required reports.? When submitting CFRs, the Ship Superintendent shall review labor cost on new work.? Assist QA Environmental & Safety Department.? Coordinate and oversee the inspections.? Help maintain customer satisfaction.? Submit WAF with any job that invokes Standard Items.? Take Paint Samples with any job that invokes Standard Items.? TIPs list required on all jobs that invoke standard items.? Supervisors are responsible for submitting and following up on CFRs, required reports, and maintaining all relevant documents.
