Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is looking for a seasoned accountant to join our Finance team!  This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to hit the ground running and build skills and experience in a wide variety of Healthcare Finance topics.  The Accountant II position reports to the Controller and has two primary roles split between a variety of accounting functions and processing bi-weekly payroll. Accounting functions will include reconciliations, month end closing, financial analysis, assistance in budget preparations and other tasks and projects that support our small team oriented department.    Utilizing both Kronos and Paylocity, this position will focus on the payroll hours and rates to execute the payroll while the HR benefits manager covers all items related to the benefit deductions.  The payroll duties encompass approximately 7 days per month.       The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent communication skills, strong computer skills, an ability to take initiative, and the integrity and confidentiality needed to handle sensitive employee information. A strong ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this multi-faceted role.

Bachelors' degree in Accounting or Finance related field required. A minimum of 3 years accounting and 1 year payroll experience is preferred.
