A client in the Metro Atlanta area is seeking a Precertification Specialist. The company is seeking someone with has experience with ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes, knowledge of insurance benefits and has experience obtaining and processing precertification requests on the provider side for various medical procedures. Hours are 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities: Reviewing and submitting clinical information Verifying medical insurance policies Reaching out to multiple insurance companies to obtain precertification prior to the patients procedure Placing follow up phone calls with the patients and educate them on what their insurance will cover Review and submit patient information Perform data entry Provide customer service and build relationships with patients, physicians and physicians' staff.
