As a member of Otterbein Pemberville's leadership team, it is expected that the Director of Life Enrichment will work with other leadership team members to provide a safe and enjoyable living and working environment for our residents and partners. The Director of Life Enrichment will support Otterbein Pemberville's Total Quality Management efforts and participate in Quality Improvement committees from time to time. As a member of the Otterbein Pemberville Team, it is expected that the Director of Life Enrichment be committed to advancing health and wellness to the individuals we serve.
The Director of Life Enrichment must demonstrate competency in areas of Core Performance, Work Relations and Teamwork, Personal Responsibility and Mission Support, and Guest, Resident and Internal Customer Focus. Competency is demonstrated when the work performed results in the outcomes described under each area.
Possesses a patient and creative personality when dealing with residents and staff.
Maintains employee's work schedule in a timely manner.
Works with other staff in carrying out services for residents in a cheerful and efficient manner.
Oversees budget, orders materials and equipment in a timely and cost effective manner for IL, AL, Nursing
Shows flexibility dealing with residents and employees.
Assists set up and take down of activities efficiently and safely.
Maintains volunteer program and record keeping
Demonstrates effective supervisor skills.
Carries out duties, as assigned by Executive Director, for leadership role: including but not limited to development and implementation of work plan goals, community outreach programming, Shepherd Programming and alike.
Supports and oversees IL, AL and Nursing Assistants and their calendars in coordination with the 9 degrees of wellness
Completes Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI)- MDS, RAPS and care plans and progress notes for Activities in a timely manner (per regulatory guidelines)
Assists by driving the bus when necessary

Education: Post secondary education preferred(not necessary) with empahsis in education
Licensure/Certification: Valid Drivers license, Activity Director Certification or willingness to obtain per regulation
Experience: 2 yr minimun experience in programming and leading activities, ADC or other equivilant
SPECIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly and/or emotionally upset.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Must be detailed oriented and have excellent literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be able to use tools and equipment required and be comfortable with Technology, Microsoft office, Its never 2 late and Touchtown software.
