Currently, we are seeking a talented, fulltime Infrastructure Security Engineer to join the Corporate Division in Newport Beach, CA. The Corporate Division supports the goals and initiatives of all other divisions throughout the company and its subsidiaries. These departments include: Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Corporate Development, Public Affairs, Safety & Security, Legal & Compliance.

POSITION SUMMARY

This Infrastructure Security Engineer should have a passion for security work and possesses deep and wide expertise in the security space. This position will focus on protecting system boundaries, keeping server systems and storage devices hardened against attacks and securing highly sensitive data. Qualified candidates will have a background in security and infrastructure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, storage, and data center
• Define system security requirements, identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation plans
• Research and be on top of vulnerability, malware, common vulnerabilities and exposures of Wintel, Linux, physical, hypervisor, and storage systems
• Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs
• Plan and coordinate the deployment of security and vulnerability patching to all computer systems
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
• Perform forensic analysis and root cause analysis for all infrastructure-related security incidents to ensure the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents
• Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement
• Be the first line of security defense and liaison and interface with the Corporate Information Security Office

FACTORS FOR SUCCESS

• Proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer. Have strong knowledge of data center, computer and storage systems. Understand Active Directory, Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience in building and maintaining security systems
• Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security
• Hands on experience in security systems, including computer system log, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc
• Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
• Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
• Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• 10+ years of security and infrastructure related working experience
• CISSP or equivalent and SANS Security/Forensic Certifications
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
