Currently we are seeking a talented Salesforce Senior Developer to be a part of the Pacific Life Next Generation Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Platform Center of Excellence (CoE). This transformational team is helping to redefine how customer relationships and data are managed on a single platform for Pacific Life's retail businesses across marketing, sales, and service utilizing tools from Salesforce.

The CRM CoE is rooted in an agile based project management environment with iterative development, where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing, cross-functional teams. Capabilities are being deployed in a series of foundational phases with the CoE responsible for ongoing operations support, governance, and managing the program back log and capability enhancements.


The Senior Salesforce Developer will lead the development teams (onshore and offshore) who build solutions across the Salesforce platform, specifically with the Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Einstein Analytics. The Senior Salesforce Developer is a hands-on individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including technical and functional capabilities, and can provide guidance and mentor other salesforce developers on the team.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce platform, with responsibilities that include the design and build of Apex code, Visualforce pages, flows, and the APIs. Must be skilled in all relevant Salesforce development frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and technical team members to translate business needs into Salesforce technical solutions.
  • Able to translate user stories into Salesforce solutions.
  • A deep understanding of multiple environments, patterns and languages, especially including XML, HTML, SQL, Javascript, JSON, and CSS.
  • Experience in developing Salesforce Lightning components
  • Comfortable with a variety of development tools, including IDE, Workbench, Ant migration tool, and others
  • Strong Salesforce process automation skills: Process Builder and Flow.
  • Supervise deployment management process

  • 10+ years of progressive experience, preferably all on the Salesforce platform
  • Salesforce certifications preferred and/or prior experience with Salesforce systems integration work
  • Financial Services Cloud, Service Cloud a plus
  • SF1 (Mobile) Experience or LEX on Mobile Experience highly preferred
  • Einstein Analytics a plus
  • Expertise with release management in a multi-tier landscape
  • Must be comfortable in rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work situations
  • Requires strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Agile Scrum delivery framework with basic working knowledge of the key phases across the software delivery lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Experience working with distributed external resources and vendor teams (onshore and offshore)
  • Strong project management skills, including influencing skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables efficiently
  • Excellent communicator and presenter with proven success in developing client relationships and managing client expectations
  • Requires good organizational/documentation skills, including technical documentation and writing, and the ability to work independently
  • Experience working with distributed external resources and vendor teams (onshore and offshore)
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
