In this role: you will be engaged in the hydrologic and hydraulic design and analysis of all aspects of transportation projects, including rivers, ponds, culverts, drainage, sewer systems, stormwater control and storm drains, floodplains and grading. You will prepare and review drawings for final design, construction, detour, and erosion control and prepare and review design reports.
Independently develops engineering drainage and hydrology designs for road, highway, and related transportation structures.
Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, specifications, procurement documents, design and installation packages, construction plans and documents, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
Prepare permit documents, quantity calculations, estimates and produce/check engineering analytical data and related information to ensure the design/technical reports are accurate.
Utilization of Microstation and Inroads Drainage Software
4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
3 to 5 years of related work experience with drainage and hydrology for roads and highways or bridges.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is required.
Must have proficiency utilizing civil/drainage related design software. For example, experience with some or all of the following, will be considered: AutoCAD Civil3D and/or MicroStation V8i, Geopak, InRoads, StormCAD, EPA-SWMM, ArcGIS, SMS w/ SRH-2D, HydroCAD Storm Sewers, CivilStorm, Inroads Storm and Sanitary, HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS software, or other PC software packages typically associated with H&H engineering._
