The Heart Care Unit is a fast pace cardiac/telemetry intermediate care unit. We treat patients with a variety of cardiac issues including, but not limited to: heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, open heart surgery, cardiac procedures, stroke, and a variety of other medical conditions. All of our nursing staff is ACLS, telemetry, and NIHSS certified. We are a team consisting of RNs, CNAs, HUCs, and telemetry techs who work together, collaboratively, to provide exceptional patient care.

The Registered Nurse, Heart Care Unit, provides nursing care to a team of patients requiring a cardiac nursing focus. This unit provides care for cardiac medical and surgical patients, chest pain, MIs, arrythmias, post Cath and CHF.


  • RN state licensure.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in med/surg nursing or possess the ability to be trained to function in these areas within 6 months.
  • Telemetry certified
  • BLS (CPR) and (ACLS)
  • Displays a positive attitude about themselves, work and staff.
  • Possesses excellent communication and service management skills.
  • Meets all necessary competencies within 6 months of hire.
  • Possesses basic computer skills.
  • Sets own educational goals.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
