The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting audits, DMHC statutory filings, and financial reporting of the books and records to the IPA Operations.
Job Responsibilities/Duties- Actively participates in the preparation of internal financial reporting including business unit analysis packages and various ad hoc schedules that are provided to senior executives of the Company, and, as such, will involve interaction with a broad array of corporate and segment management personnel.
- Responsible for key functions that support the monthly and quarterly external reporting requirements to Department of Managed Health of California and related analysis.
- Coordinate and actively participate in monthly close meetings.
- Review the cause-of-change or flux analysis and supporting schedules.
- Assist with accounting and reporting systems maintenance and updates to reporting packets.
- Support periodic audits to ensure timely completion by assisting in drafting standalone audit reports and providing audit support including financial statement footnote disclosures.
- Build, enhance, and automate reporting in Excel as well as support identifying and recommending revisions and improvements to accounting practices and procedures.
- Lead/execute various ad hoc analyses.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field required. MBA preferred.
Minimum Experience: 3 – 5 years of general ledger experience in private or public accounting or auditing, preferably with experience handling multiple entities.
Req. Certification/Licensure: CPA/CIA certificate preferred.
