QVC's Director Drop Ship is responsible for all drop ship functions for the Qurate Retail Group in the US. The director is responsible for creating and implementing drop ship strategies and incorporating best-in-class standard processes and procedures for this supply chain supporting $2.1B of revenue and spending over $200MM annually. The key objectives of this position are to improve service levels for all customers while controlling spend amount, maximizing efficiency and savings, driving common processes throughout the network and ensuring communication and education of policies and practices in support of these goals.
Manage the formulation, implementation and maintenance of policies, plans, programs and standards necessary to carry out the objectives of the department
Manage implementation of drop ship operational infrastructure and change management
Manage supplier sourcing activities, including identifying, qualifying, training, testing, and launching suppliers
Prepare, analyze, and report financial results to the VP in partnership with QxH Financial department.
Work closely with leadership and client sponsors to identify, scope and prioritize strategically-aligned improvement efforts
Build and deliver frameworks and executive presentations for evaluating business and system decisions
Implement and support drop ship program; responsible for improving results of the program
Ensure vendors and suppliers meet or exceed our standards
Provide monthly/weekly/daily drop ship forecasting
Provide ad hoc analysis
What You Bring:
Operations and corporate savvy
Supply chain management experience (e.g., fulfillment, distribution, logistics, procurement, supplier management, etc.)
Strong project management skills and proven ability to work independently and as a team leader
Demonstrated client relationship management experience (VP level and above)
Ability to create Financial, Service, and capacity correlations to justify drop ship or 3PL decisions.
Team leadership skills with the ability to lead, inspire and motivate team members to a best-in-class performance standard
Strong teamwork and influencing/negotiating skills to successfully work with multiple organizations and ensure commitment to centralized transportation and logistics processes
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Strong strategic thinker, excellent business analysis skills
Deliverable driven, high-performance management style
Flexibility, creativity, and initiative to work to meet and exceed client expectations
Bachelor's degree in business or a related area or equivalent work experience, Graduate degree / MBA preferred
15+ years of logistics/transportation experience
Extensive Management experience
5+ years of experience in the retail or supply chain / logistics sector
Strong familiarity with retail and/or eCommerce business functions
10+ years of leadership experience in a de-centralized operation
