Position Title: Principal Product Manager
Location: Westford, MA
Ribbon Communications is seeking a full-time, experienced Product Manager who will be responsible for the overall management of the companys Mobile/Subscriber analytics platform and applications. This critical leadership position is responsible for ensuring that effective product offerings are well aligned with customer expectations, are operationally manageable, and are effectively translated into engineering requirements. We are looking for an experienced professional with a solid technical background in mobile and IP networks with a track record of using their background to create innovative analytics applications for network optimization, subscriber marketing/monetization, and security. The position provides leadership, project management, and cross functional coordination throughout the product development lifecycle.
This position reports to the Sr. Director of Product Management.
Create and maintain the products and features roadmap, and manage prioritization and tradeoffs with customer experience
Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional leaders to support the strategic product directions
Collaborate with other Ribbon functions to establish, implement, and maintain standardized product development and product management processes and procedures to ensure optimal performance throughout the new product life cycle, product release cycles.
Act as the representative to internal and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Coordinate commercial and go-to-market launch activities across functional teams.
Manage high-value customer and strategic partner relationships
Coordinate RFI/RFQ/RFP responses and field trials as necessary
Develop requirements for all customer communications, sales presentations and training materials.
Create/edit/maintain product collateral, whitepapers, presentations as needed by the organization
Create product requirements documents (PRDs), provide input to marketing requirements, architecture documents, and review and approve functional specifications documents
Generate product pricing and packaging, product SKU creation, work with sales team on product quotes
Prioritize software development resources balancing customer needs and company revenue targets
Conduct design reviews of use cases and user product designs with UX Design, Engineering and QA
Work collaboratively with Solution Marketing to assist with the go-to-market for the analytic based applications
10+ years of experience in product management
Experience in the mobile and wireless (VoWifi) network architectures
Understanding of technical architecture of complex and highly scalable analytics platforms
Understanding of machine learning techniques using deep learning computing frameworks, data modeling and other relevant software tools
Strong acumen, background, familiarity with the mobile network operator industry and trends, with specific experience in VoLTE networks
Ability to effectively tailor the communication of technical and non-technical information to different audiences
Ability to develop and coordinate relationships to effectively manage operational execution
Ability to work collaboratively with teams across organizations in multiple geographic locations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with leadership and management focus
BS/MS in Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, MBA preferred
