The full-time Controller position is situated in the Hawthorne, California area. What you get to do every single day - Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis - Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management - Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection - Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible - Act on items beyond formal job responsibilities - Reviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations - Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies - Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month - Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required - Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis - Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll For confidential consideration, please email your resume in MS Word format to David Bizub at david.bizub@roberthalf.com or call David at 310.719.1400. Requirements

- Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired - Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment - Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued - Self-starter and strong ethical standards - Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes - 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred - Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment - CPA or MBA preferred - Month-end Journal Entries experience required - Good understanding of Annual Financial Reporting - Monthly Account Reconciliation experience highly desired - Quality experience with Annual Audited Financial Statements - Previous experience working with financial auditing - General familiarity with Monthly Balance Sheet - Month-end Reports experience - Earlier work involving Annual Financial Plan - Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings - Well-founded grasp of Monthly Actual - Skills in Audited Financial Statements - Proven knowledge of Monthly Accruals - Wide ranging experience with Analyze Financial Statements - Practical knowledge of Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation - Month-end Financial experience - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations - BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field - Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
