Robert Half Finance is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Controller to join the ranks at a well-respected Real Estate & Property company. This leadership role oversees an accounting and clerical department. The Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, handles the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluates accounting and internal control systems, and leads departmental staff. The Controller position is a full-time opportunity in the St Charles, Illinois region. How you will make an impact - Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis - Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team - Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals - Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation - Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports - Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques - Complete tasks beyond formal job responsibilities - Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts - Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required - Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll - Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
