Division Controller Reporting directly SVP of Finance, the Division Controller is a strategic partner on the senior leadership team, and will lead a recent acquisition financial team to support the needs of the business. This role is located in Barrington, Illinois. Primary responsibility for managing, controlling, and leading all financial related activities of the company. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, inventory, forecasting, strategic planning, and negotiations. Develops the financial packages and budgets with alignment to the parent company. Functions as a strategic business partner for the recent acquisition. Assess and evaluate financial performance of the division as a whole with regard to long-term growth, budgets, and forecasts. Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plans of the division. Select and engage consultants and financial partners as required. Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities. Provide a financial perspective when identifying, acquiring and implementing systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information. Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the companys plan for growth and expansion. Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to the strategic and operations models. Review, analyze, make recommendations to and present monthly financial reports including monthly P & L by division. Identify, develop, and execute analysis of business initiatives, and new business development. Manage financial planning and analysis for the division. Collaborate with Corporate office and Information Systems on software implementation and financial tools. Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures. Recruit, interview, and hire finance and accounting staff as required. Coach, develop and discipline staff. Provide supporting documentation for the timely preparation filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns Perform other duties as assigned Division Controller Required Skills Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented, Well-organized 10+ years of experience in accounting/finance environment Food processing/manufacturing experience is a plus Possess strong time management and organizational skills Knowledge of general ledger systems, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, complex environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Extensive knowledge of Movex or ERP systems. Proficiency in MS office suite with strong Excel knowledge is required. Division Controller Required Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 15 pounds.
