We have a vacancy for a Senior Accountant position for a full-time opportunity in the Machinery Manufacturing industry in the WAVERLY, Iowa area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Located in Waverly, Iowa, this Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Machinery Manufacturing field. What you get to do every single day - Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. - Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process - Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external - Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary - When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests - Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations - Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP - Participate in various department-wide initiatives - Assemble monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting


- Excellent attention to detail - Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions - Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus - 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience - BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred - Skilled with ERP systems - Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems - Experience in SOX control execution/documentation - Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment - Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required - Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well - Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines - Annual Financial Reporting experience - Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation - Must have excellent time management skills
