Description

Looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to start immediately with a fast growing and acquisitive client, near Annapolis. If you are looking for a growth opportunity with a clear cut path to a manager title this could be the role for you. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong experience with planning, forecasting and annual budgeting and at least 5 years of experience. You will also perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments and provide decision-making support for future company investments. Your responsibilities - Implement financial analysis as part of business performance optimization - Evaluate financial results, summarize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly reporting to senior leadership - Work closely with the group managers to provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance plus ensure alignment of operational initiatives - Provide assistance in ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests - Execute improved management reporting by working with Operations and Accounting to more discreetly and accurately track financial results - Be able to analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key issues, communicate updates to senior management all in order to drive existing management reporting - Develop business, operational, and financial processes to be repeatable and understandable for all necessary teams - Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership. Requirements

- Excellent presentation skills - 5+ years experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required - Bachelor's Degree in Finance, MBA preferred - Highly-skilled with financial reporting tools - Ingenuity to simplify complex problems and build solutions - Proficiency in forecasting - Practical knowledge of Ad Hoc Projects - Adeptness in Trend Analysis - General familiarity with Ad Hoc Financial Analysis - Excel Formulas experience highly preferred - Budgeting experience desired - Foundational knowledge in forecasting & modeling - Background working with Excel Formulas - Demonstrated knowledge of Ad Hoc Analysis - Budget forecasting experience required - Good understanding of Write SQL Queries - not required but a bonus - Perform Trend Analysis experience highly desired
