Description

Senior Financial Analyst Are you a skilled finance professional looking for an opportunity in the finance field? A company Robert Half Finance and Accounting is working with, has a pressing need for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in the Auburn Hills, Michigan area. You will conduct the improvement upon monthly and quarterly reporting, while also operationalize and cultivate data-driven planning processes. Administer the long-range operating plans to support business initiatives, drive world class strategic and financial planning methods, and develop rolling forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, as the Senior Financial Analyst. You will ensure variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will be in charge of the coordination of various planning cycles (quarterly forecasts, annual planning, and monthly outlooks) while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. For immediate consideration, please reach out to Bill Watts at 248-205-5582 Ext 48120 or email Bill.watts@roberthalf.com What you get to do every day -Analyzing monthly operating results and creating/maintaining financial schedules to highlight operating performance variances to board. -Prepare and propose segmented monthly forecasts and annual budgets. -Understand, interpret, and communicate implications of financial and operational data. -Monitor and suggest corrective actions for key metrics such as ROCE, debtor days, MAT op cash, order intake, and stock turns. -Develop and maintain PPV, labor efficiencies, and R&D capital expenditure metrics. -Improve upon the scorecard of financial measures and metrics by functional area by adding new metrics and analytical tools (graphs and charts). -Prepare ad hoc analysis as directed or projects as assigned. -Assists in month-end procedures and produce accurate & timely reports -Crosstrain with accounting operation team. -Assists in ensuring compliance with company policy, government statutes and ethical practices. -Support team with audits as well as acquisition due diligence and integration. -Help execute internal controls and separation of duties.

Requirements

-4+ years experience in relevant accounting position. -2+ years of prior financial analytic experience. -Strong knowledge of GAAP, experience with IFRS a plus. -BS in accounting or finance required. MBA and /or CPA a plus. -proficient user of Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) -Strong ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. -Epicor and MAS ERP experience a plus. -ERP migration experience is a plus.
