One of Hartford's top employers is adding to their high performing finance team with a Vice President of FP&A role. The VP, Financial Planning & Analysis Business Partner will serve as the financial advisor and advocate for one of their business segments. This role is an integral part of the senior leadership team. The VP FP&A Business Partner is accountable for advising and supporting strategic and operational decision making through insights that drive better business operating performance. This role provides critical support for all financial matters related to staff modeling, financial reporting, operating metrics and key performance indicators, cost containment, planning and forecasting associated with the business segment activities. A Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Investments or related field is required or equivalent work experience 15+ years Finance and business industry experience 10+ years experience in the insurance industry 10+ years leadership experience managing cross functional teams and influencing senior management Prior leadership and management experience required a well rounded background, showing breadth of business experience and steady promotion through increasing responsibilities. Broad financial exposure to reporting, analysis, tax, treasury, product and investments. Anticipates needs of the customer and takes a proactive approach to ensure they are met. Strong financial acumen Ability to translate financial results into a business story Business strategy development Results orientated and pragmatic management approach that is continuously focused on execution and problem solving while balancing speed and accuracy. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation Strong people management skills, effective at coaching and motivating staff. Serves as a role model in building effective relationships.
