In this position, you will be in charge of preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, and preparing audits, as well as managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every day The Construction Cost Accountant performs detail oriented level accounting work in the maintenance and review of fiscal records. The position requires considerable knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounting functions. This individual is responsible for the general ledger, job cost, bank reconciliations and accounts payable. Additional responsibilities include performing monthly closings, maintenance of accounting files, and preparation/organization of various financial forms, reports, and financial analyses, etc. This individual may be asked to assist with ad-hoc projects and general office support tasks when necessary. These responsibilities and tasks will be coordinated with and supervised by the Senior Project Controller.


- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred - Job Cost experience preferred - Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) - Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks - Proven knowledge of Construction Accounting - Annual Financial Reporting experience - Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred - Well-founded grasp of Construction Cost - Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity - 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience - Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required - SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus - Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems - Must have excellent time management skills - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines - Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills - Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well - Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued - Current and relevant ERP system experience - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
