Description

We have a client looking to full-time a new Full Charge Bookkeeper. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will control payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, and full cycle A/P. The Full Charge Bookkeeper may also manage clerical staff. You might be a experience in candidate for this Bookkeeper role if you are a self-driven and organized accounting detail oriented who thrives in a deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Farmingdale, New York area. Major responsibilities - Provide cash flow projections, as needed - Sort sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments - Manage Accounts Receivable - Maintain Accounts Payable - Arrange subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement - Handle monthly accounting close - Condense business license and gross receipts - Record budget transfers - Supplementary assignments when necessary - Well-versed in credit card management and reconciliation - Assemble cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc. - Form monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

Requirements

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred - Vow to meet business deadlines - Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) - Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) - Solid understanding of account reconciliation - Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment - Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities - Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills - Previous accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred - Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills - 3+ years of related experience- Detailed and have the ability work independently
