This position will challenge your skills as your juggle multiple components. The ideal candidate for this Staff Accountant position can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. Other responsibilities include internal reporting during the monthly close, participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. Your responsibilities in this role - Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner - In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts - Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP - Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks - Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on - Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll - Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers - Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease - Participate in various department-wide initiatives - Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested - Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation - Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision - Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

Requirements

- 5+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience - Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required - Payroll experience - Compilation experience desired - Public Accounting experience - Foundational knowledge in Public Accounting Tax - Efficient in ERP systems - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics - Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus - Spreadsheet and database capabilities - Great attention to detail - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines - Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases - Self-starter and strong ethical standards
