Robert Half Management Resources currently has an opening for a Manager of Shared Services - AP and Cash Applications with extensive SAP experience. POSITION OVERVIEW Supervises and coordinates the accounts payable and cash application teams. Tasks include calculating, posting, and verifying financial data in accounting and statistical records. Seeks to continuously improve processes and work flows for collecting, analyzing, verifying and communicating reporting financial and payment information. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Supervises a team of five employees Coordinates accounts payable/receivable, including: Vendor setup, invoice processing, payment disbursement, 1099 filings Lockbox cash receipts, open invoice analysis, cash application, direct order tracking Assists with departmental budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, and other related activities Builds team through hiring, mentoring, training and evaluating Establishes strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external clients to resolve issues Identifies and implements service improvement opportunities Monitors accounting KPIs for working capital optimization Adheres to proper accounting methods, policies and principles Supports annual audits SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages five direct reporting employees the AP/AR Departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree B. A. from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of eight years accounting experience, including at least three in accounts payable and accounts receivable Minimum of three years supervisory experience Adept at problem-solving and analysis Excellent computer skills with MS Office tools SAP experience is a must Strong knowledge and experience with accounting software and databases Ability to multi task Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations Team player Good time-management skills Great interpersonal and communication skills If you have the required skills and interest, then apply and send resume to bryan.meyer@rhmr.com.
