Description

Robert Half Technology is seeking a Release Engineer to assist with deploying 50+ apps during the close of the year. The Release Engineer will Design, define, evaluate, test, debug and implement complex system requirements in support of various functional areas such as operations, marketing, accounting, or human resources. Job Responsibilities: Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database, and middleware and utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Determines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Ensures these products or technical environments are optimally integrated with the rest of the technological environment and consistent with best practices. Stays current with the products and with the other technologies. Recommends changes to our product mix as appropriate. Recommends new or different methods of using these products or technologies. Continually increases the depth and breadth of knowledge and understanding of the products and/or technology areas. Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. Plans, designs, acquire and implement: LAN and/or WAN systems, telecommunication voice/wire systems, Hardware, operating systems, appliances, Middleware, ECM, and Portal solutions.

Requirements

Requirements: Must possess full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Internal and external contacts often pertain to company plans and objectives. Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time. Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Strong knowledge of the full software development life-cycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue. Strong knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software.
