Robert Half Technology is seeking candidates with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format, for a Desktop Support Technician position with a company in the Consumer Products field. If you are a problem solver who enjoys working in a challenging and positive environment, this may be the Desktop Support Technician position for you. Located in the New Hyde Park, New York, area, this Desktop Support Analyst role is long-term temporary-to-full-time in nature. What you get to do every single day - Match hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors - Offer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems - Preserve, inspect, and mend computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals - Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters - Supply computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures - Develop records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities - Rectify computer problems, and suggest appropriate action/solutions

Requirements

- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals - Expertise in ITIL Processes - Solid understanding of IT infrastructure libraries - Strong familiarity with ServiceNow - 7+ years of desktop support or other related experience
