Robert Half Technology is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a highly focused, motivated team in the Retail industry. This long-term temporary-to-full-time Sr .NET Developer opportunity is located in Burr Ridge, Illinois. For immediate consideration please send your resume to rebecca.steciw@rht.com Responsibilities: Take a product through the entire lifecycle of analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation and support Implement all aspects of an application design - high performance design, coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, development environment configuration, and testing. Perform unit and system level testing on applications. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C#, .NET code Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems Help maintain code quality and organization

Requirements

6+ years of working .net/C# experience Excellent understanding of how to build web applications using C# (ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core and WebForms), HTML5, CSS and JavaScript Proficient understanding of database (MSSQL), including T-SQL, Stored Procedures, etc. Best practices for web application architecture including session management, caching, MVC and web services How to build efficient, secure, scalable and reliable applications to support a high transaction environment Good understanding of how to identify and diagnose performance issues and resolve them quickly Knowledge of Agile software development processes. Bachelors Degree or Certification in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Systems or equivalent experience/formal training in object-oriented programming languages for Microsoft systems
