RWJBarnabas Health is partnering with the Rutgers School of Nursing (RUSON) to provide a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to jumpstart their nursing career as a Clinical Care Technician (CCT) as they await graduation and licensure. The goal of the CCT to RN Bridge program is to offer a career path for nursing students as a CCT that will transition to a Registered Nurse (RN) within RWJBarnabas Health (RWJBH).

The Clinical Care Technician (CCT) provides direct care to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. CCT s are an important part of the healthcare team assisting in the delivery of healthcare to the patients we serve. The role exemplifies patient engagement, professionalism, good interpersonal skills, time management and problem solving skills.

Following the successful completion of the NCLEX Board Exam and exemplary employment, you will be guaranteed an RN position within the RWJBH System and the opportunity to participate in the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accredited RWJBH RN Residency Program. The RWJBH RN Residency Program provides a comprehensive didactic and clinical orientation to ensure a successful transition from student to Professional Registered Nurse.

Requirements to apply:

  • Current Student of RUSON persuing BSN.
  • Letter of faculty recommendation.
  • GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Requirements to receive a RN employment offer upon RUSON graduation:

  • Must remain in good standing through employment as CCT.
  • Must sign two (2) year contract with RWJBH upon acceptance of RN offer for employment.
  • Successful completion of NCLEX exam is required.
