Description

NeuroRestorative, a member of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Occupational Therapist

  • Treatment provided in day treatment setting, providing services to individuals with acquired brain injuries.
  • Evaluate and test individuals served and develop effective treatment plans while providing quality service.
  • Administer treatment programs for individuals served and communicate treatment needs to staff.
  • Provide re-evaluation, programmatic changes, and effectively manage a caseload.
  • Set up appropriate home exercise programs for individuals served and perform home evaluations.
  • Maintain documentation including report of services, weekly schedule to meet therapy goals of staff and individuals served.
  • Serve on rehabilitation treatment team, including meetings, attending conferences, departmental meetings for program development, and establishing a system of operations for team enhancement.
  • Collaborate with physicians, staff, professionals/paraprofessionals, consultants, families, and community resources to ensure effectiveness of occupational therapy program.

  • Oxnard NeuroRestorative facility located on Teal Club Road
  • Flexible per-diem hours

Setting and Rehab Team

    • Our Oxnard facility offers a combination of post-acute and subacute levels of care for medically complex patients
    • Neurorehabilitation
    • Respite
    • Our patient population benefits from treatment focused on regaining functional skills, real world application of said skills, and community re-integration in collaboration with Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and nursing staff.
    • Develop treatment plans focused on community independence and functional outcomes.
    • Strong focus on cognitive rehabilitation
  • The rehab team consists of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy working alongside nursing services.
  • Therapy-led leadership.

Patient Population

  • Adults with a variety of complex neurological injuries, spinal cord injuries, polytraumatic, and orthopedic injuries

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy and one-year human services experience
  • One year experience in Neuro-rehabilitation preferred
  • Must be licensed OTR/L in the state of California
  • Advanced qualifications preferred, such as:
    • Certified Neuro Specialist (CNS), Certified Neuro Developmental Treatment (C/NDT), Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), Advanced Practice in Physical Agent Modality (PAM), Neuro- IFRAH
    • Training in Visual and Vestibular Dysfunction
  • Current driver's license
  • Effective communication skills
