As the Patcraft Showroom Manager you would manage all aspects of the New York City showroom and promote the use of the facility as a reference for Architects and Designers, End Users, CRE firms, Dealer partners, regional sales staff, and all internal/external stakeholders. You would also maintain the product library, sample inventory, and marketing material for the showroom in order to fulfill regional customer requirements. You may assist Regional Vice President in all administrative duties as assigned, supports regional sales staff as directed. Daily office opening and closing required, as well as communicating with the main point of contact with building owner as required in order to properly maintain office area and showroom. Our Showroom is located in Midtown, Manhattan.

What you'll be doing and what we'd like to see:

  • Presents oneself as knowledgeable and professional to the internal and external customer.
  • Meets and greets all internal and external customers. Manages, maintains and coordinates all daily activities associated with the design center showroom and office area.

  • Assists regional sales staff and national sales staff upon request. Assists in coordinating showroom presentations, coordinates sample requirements for sales staff, maintains sample inventory, executes miscellaneous organizational projects, plans meeting & event logistics, troubleshoots minor technical problems, and manages expenses. Coordinates showroom/office schedules and activities, tracks progress and results as directed by manager.

  • Communicates with internal and external service providers in order to maintain showroom and office efficiencies. Works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude showroom events.

  • Orders samples for customers and sales associates and maintains inventory levels as required. Coordinates all incoming and outgoing internal and external customer shipping and delivery requirements.

  • Responsibilities may include but are not limited to screening telephone calls, ordering and maintaining office supplies, marketing materials and other sales or administrative related requests. Operates and coordinates cleaning of regular maintenance services for showroom and office equipment (i.e., copier, telephones, A/V, computers, etc.).

  • Creates and maintains filing system for product samples in an orderly manner and prepares filing system directions for other users.

  • Maintains a current list of key holders and provides keys to personnel as needed. Collect keys when people leave. Maintains master calendar and showroom/office schedules. Opens, dates, and sorts incoming mail. Coordinates all Federal Express and Courier shipments and any other packages, incoming and outgoing.

Position Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters.
  • Must have strong mathematical skills, leadership and soft skills and able to multi-task and manage the expectations of Sales Regional Vice President and regional sales staff.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem solving, negotiating and decision making capabilities are a must.
  • Must be flexible to assist on showroom events that are after normal business hours.
  • Must be capable of navigating ambiguity and interpreting/clarifying vague requests. A background in design is ideal, but not required.

Most Preferred:

  • Education in interior design or previous work experience in design industry/design firm.

  • Candidate already living within or familiar with the territory.

  • Commercial flooring experience preferred, other commercial interior products such as furniture and lighting.
