Business Systems Support Analyst

The Business Systems Support Analyst supports and provides guidance with the production applications which consist of Oracle EBS 11i/r12 as well as web based applications and other third party tools. This includes provide production support, bug triage, issue resolution, user administration and monitoring of system status.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
*Researches support requests to help customers overcome problems
*Maintains a local build environment to enable debugging of more complex issues
*Executes data query and clean-up tasks against a production environment to research and resolve issues
*Monitors site performance, investigates alerts and escalates as appropriate
*Participates in testing and scheduled releases as directed by other leads
*Interface with business users, super users and various members to improve the understanding of the applications
*Study business user operations and identify areas of potential improvement or possible problems and document requirements for improving operations. These solutions may consist of new or changed processes, people or technologies
*Provide guidance to users on effective and efficient approaches to utilizing models, tools and data
*Engage with business users and project teams in comprehending project scope, requirements and functions introduced with new processes and data flows
*Gather all relevant information before drawing conclusions or making decisions
*Support a team mind-set with all project members, business owners and customers to work towards shared goals
*Develop an understanding of client applications, customers and business processes within the areas they support
*Knows when to flag and escalate a potential issue in a timely manner to avoid missing any milestones
*Establish positive working relationships with other team members so that the team receives comprehensive information to build according to the requirement
Education and/or Experience:
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
*Good functional, analytical, troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships and contribute in a team environment
*Must be able to use basic SQL for producing analytical data when looking at solutions
*Ability to effectively manage priorities and commitments in a fast paced dynamic environment
*Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Visio and Project
*B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related area, or equivalent work experience (at least 2 years professional business analysis) required.
*Ability to think analytically, solve problems, make decisions and collaborate and work with a team
*Candidates must also have planning/organizing skills, strong attention to detail and be customer focused. Knowledge of MS Office products and related software programs is essential
* Able to lift up to 25 pounds
* Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
