This job contributes to the Evolution Fresh brand's success by managingshopper marketing and core product portfolio initiatives. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guidance principles.

As an Associate Brand Manager, you will support to drive shopper marketing initiatives by

  • Support shopper marketing initiatives – You will be responsible for supporting overall shopper programs by working with agencies and internal teams to develop and execute marketing plans, providing feedback on concepts and gaining internal alignment. You will manage a holistic marketing calendar and partner with Sales and Planning teams to align on key initiatives.
  • Provide Sales Support tools – You will develop sell in stories and materials in partnership with sales and planning teams, supporting sales meeting needs form a product positioning and marketing strategy perspective.
  • Support core portfolio strategy – Leverage syndicated and consumer data to support portfolio rationalization and optimization. You will gather analytical data and consumer insights that will inform briefs for new product innovation. You will be responsible for the product commercialization process of core products.
  • Budget management – You will manage overall marketing budget in partnership with Brand Manager. Specifically tracking marketing spend, processing invoices and reconciling spend versus budget.
  • Build strong relationships within a matrix structure to ensure needs are addressed and information sharing is timely.




Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Performs financial and marketing analysis; assesses category, brand and omp etitor performance.
- Analyzes key issues relating to products (including cost, pricing, quality o r consumer acceptance) and makes recommendations to M&C leadership
- Applies analysis to identify new marketing/packaging/product opportunities
- May analyze information to support the development of a 12/18 month S&OP product forecast. Represents the M&C viewpoint in consensus and S&OP meetings.
- Assists the brand team in building annual operating plan and marketing/brand plan through data gathering and analysis.
- Directs and oversees external agencies to execute marketing creative (e.g. FSI or CRM program) from creative brief development through concept evaluation to delivery of the final execution
- -Manages programming and projects within the quarterly budget. Approves and provides feedback on creative materials consistent with brand guard rails.
- Build strong relationships within a matrix structure to ensure needs are addressed and information sharing is timely.



Job Qualifications

Summary of Experience
- Progressive analytical experience in product, marketing,consulting or other relevant environment 2+ yrs
- Project leadership 1+ years
- MBA strongly preferred


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical and technical skills; comfortable with syndicated data
- Must be able to work in a matrix environment, able to collaborate cross functionally, and be a strong team player.
- Ability to analyze business trends and financial metrics, including sales, return on investments, and profit and loss
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and problem solving abilities
- Functions effectively with ambiguity
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
