AboutStarbucks Global Supply Chain

Starbucks isranked by Gartner AMR as a top 25 global supply chain operation, a distinctionthat recognizes our overall supply chain performance. All of our activities aremanaged through five functions – Commercialize, Plan, Source, Make, and Deliver– and we execute over 85,000 outbound deliveries a week to our retail stores,distribution channels, and outlets worldwide to keep Starbucks products flowingfrom suppliers to customers.

We offer anexciting and challenging 10-week internship program that provides valuableexposure to the various areas and senior leadership within Global Supply Chain.You will utilize your supply chain knowledge and be challenged to maximize yourlearning agility as you contribute to the team in developing innovative,cost-effective, and scalable solutions to enhance growth and generate customervalue. Your experience will include a primary project within a specificfunctional area of supply chain, such as New Product Introduction, Planning,Transportation, Procurement, or Manufacturing that will highlight the breadthof a full-time position.

As an undergraduate intern, you will be stretched to buildon your existing knowledge, challenged to maximize your learning agility, andpositioned to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to your team.

Each student selected for a Starbucks internship may be considered forfull-time career openings upon completion of a Bachelor's degree program.

During the Starbucks SummerInternship Program, you will:

  • Influence business performance: make an impact through value-add project work.
  • Develop professionally: enhance your skills at workshops and business overviews.
  • Foster connection: grow your network as you meet and learn from Starbucks leaders.

Starbucks Supply Chain internshipsare paid, 10-week assignments at the Starbucks Support Center in Seattle (ourcorporate headquarters). Each student selected for a Starbucks internship maybe considered for full-time career openings upon completion of a Bachelor'sdegree program.

Job Qualifications

We'd love to hear from students with:
  • Superior strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Internship Program Requirements:

  • Active enrollment in an accredited undergraduate supply chain management, engineering, logistics, or related program
  • Completion of junior-year prior to internship start date (June 2020)
  • Minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0
