Our experienced staff of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Specialists, Parent Partners and other therapists/counselors provide case management, mental health care and a range of support services in schools, homes or other community settings.  Our dedicated teams work collaboratively and in partnership with family members, school administrators and faculty, county social workers, case managers, probation officers and other agencies.


This position has primary responsibility for oversight of all SPA Wraparound Mental Health Services implementation to children and their families in support of the entire Wraparound & IFCCS Planning Program and Process.  The TEAMMATES MHS Supervisor II/III supervises Wraparound & IFCCS Mental Health Specialists, Assessment MHSs, Doctoral Practicum Students, Doctoral Interns and/or Fellows in providing Mental Health EPSDT Initial Assessments, Care & Coordination Plans, all Updates, Therapy, Psychological battery testing/assessment, and additional County and Agency required documentation. The MHS Supervisor III, will also supervise, maintain, and oversee the TMs Doctoral training program, including liaising & consulting with Doctoral Programs regarding placement, supervision, evaluation, and other duties as required by the various institutions.  The MHS Supervisor III understands and adheres to contractual obligations per school and/or university, provides classroom and field based training for practicum students, and maintains necessary records for the practicum program. The MHS Supervisor II/III will also integrate MHS into Wraparound & IFCCS program practices to provide a comprehensive continuity of care and documentation. The position will provide trainings, ensure quality assurance protocols are followed, and monitor systems for Mental Health and Wraparound services integration and compliance. He/she acts as liaison with other Star View departments and external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical & support staff.




Supervisor II: Master's degree in a Mental Health Field  

Supervisor III: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D., Psy.D. or Ed.D. in Psychology)



Supervisor II: Two (2) years direct service experience with seriously mentally disordered patients, at least one (1) year of which must be experience with children and adolescents.

Supervisor III: Two (2) years direct service experience with seriously mentally disordered patients, at least one (1) year of which must be experience with children and adolescents. Advanced course work and training in psychopathology, psychotherapy, psychological assessments and clinical supervision from an accredited graduate program in clinical psychology is required. 


License or Certification

Supervisor II: Licensed in California as LMFT or LCSW

Supervisor III: Current Licensure as a Psychologist in the State of California and registered with the Board of Psychology.

Supervisor II & III: Must have two years (2) post-licensure. Maintain training requirement for clinical supervision coursework during every two-year licensing cycle is required.

Valid California Driver's License and clear current DMV printout


Other Qualification Required:

  • Advanced knowledge of psychiatric illness and interventions, including basic understanding of co-occurring substance abuse disorders

  • Ability to relate to children with emotional disturbances and their families

  • Ability to work effectively with clients and caregivers from diverse cultural backgrounds

  • Knowledge of EPSDT documentation and requirements

  • Ability to drive to and from client's homes in personal vehicle

  • Ability to perform clear, concise and timely documentation and correspondence

  • Knowledge of community resources, especially related to the Mental Health, Education, Medical, and Social Services fields, is highly desirable to make appropriate linkages

  • Available by phone to assist in crisis intervention and problem resolution during scheduled, after hours and weekends for teams.



  1. Ensures weekly individual and group supervision of MHS II & III's.

  2. Ability to proficiently supervise staff in performing accurate mental health evaluations and basic dual diagnosis evaluations, as well as, making appropriate referrals for dual diagnosis consults and treatment. 

  3. Ability to competently supervise a staff in providing effective individual mental health rehabilitation and case management services.

  4. Assists in the integration of MHS and Wraparound Program practices through trainings, policy & procedure development, staff supervision, collaboration with program Supervisors/Admin, and QA /TQM

  5. Assures accurate and timely completion of all outcomes. Supervisor III's have additional responsibility of evaluation of testing and reports.

  6. Available by phone to assist in crisis intervention and provide support and assistance in problem resolution.

  7. Participates in various client team meetings on an as-needed basis, including, CFT meetings, SIT Meetings, and ITC meetings to support the team with meeting the client's needs, to provide input, as well as case consultation when necessary or requested.




  1. Weekly supervision of Doctoral practicum students, interns and fellows.

  2. Oversees recruitment of all TEAMMATES doctoral students, interns and fellows.

  3. Oversees, supervises and evaluates all psychological testing, including ordering testing supplies.

  4. Supervises and evaluates performance of MHS II's, Doctoral students, Post Doc Fellow and others as needed.

  5. Assists with developing policies and procedures for the Doctoral program within TEAMMATES, following corporate protocols for policy and procedure development and modification.

  6. Adheres to school/university contractual obligations for practicums.



  1. Assist with developing training program with the TEAMMATES Training Coordinator.

  2. In coordination with Quality Assurance, assists in developing and monitoring mental health documentation standards, including chart audits, monitoring data collection and reporting.

  3. Ability to adhere to all policies for confidentiality, ethics and code of conduct.

  4. Development and maintenance of integrated relationships with other network agencies, implementation of special systems, and coordination of MH services.

  5. Maintains on-going relations with other County agencies, health care facilities, schools, placement centers and other resources necessary to affect the continuum of care for adolescents in the community.

  6. Interacts and communicates with other clinical and non-clinical staff.

  7. Provides and coordinates representation of TEAMMATES on the SPA Coordinating Councils, Interagency Review Teams, and TEAMMATES Networks.

  8. Employs qualified personnel to select and maintain an adequate and competent employee to ensure the provision of quality of care to clients

  9. Supervises corrective or disciplinary action including termination

  10. Promotes fidelity to the Wraparound, IFCCS, and Core Practice Model Principles
