Station Houston is seeking a skilled social media intern to grow and cultivate audience for a new incubator in Houston, Texas. We’re a close-knit team of entrepreneurial individuals who strive to create an atmosphere of creativity, collaboration and connection in the workplace. You’ll work to activate and develop our communities, drive awareness and engage our audience with intelligent content.
Your focus will be on developing Station Houston’s audience, monitoring comments and interacting across social media platforms. You’ll also help develop community and user-generated content guidelines and protocol while posting to various social media and assisting the team to analyze data, brainstorm the most effective headlines and social copy.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter who lives on social media with excellent communication and organizational skills. Working knowledge of mainstream social channels and expertise with Twitter and Facebook (i.e., schedule posts on, and analyze and optimize two platforms) are critical.
We’re looking for someone who’s enthusiastic about Houston’s startup ecosystem.
Engage our community on various social media platforms
Moderate comments and generate constructive conversations on-site and on social platforms
Define each social platform’s voice and cultivate platform-specific audiences
Post to and monitor a range of social media accounts, simultaneously
Help grow social reach and engagement
Compile analytics for optimizing output
Propose creative, platform-specific projects and initiatives
