I. Job Summary
All duties related to the sales, performance, maintenance, diagnosis, repair, or adjustment of various outdoor power equipment. Associate must have ability to communicate clearly with customers. Stine policies and safety guidelines must be adhered to very carefully.
I II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Must be familiar with all Stine policies and procedures
Sales and service of all outdoor power equipment
Perform routine maintenance on equipment
Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality and performance
Troubleshoot for determining causes of errors and/or deciding next step
Disassemble equipment if necessary to clean or diagnose issues
Reassemble after repairs are made
Refer to schematic drawings, product manuals, and troubleshooting guides in order to diagnose and repair problems
Replace worn and defective parts as needed
Communicate with customers or refer to work orders in order to establish the nature of equipment malfunctions
Contact manager or office to receive repair assignments, or with any issues with equipment
Instruct customers regarding operation and care of equipment, and provide information such as emergency or service numbers
Observe and examine equipment during operation to detect specific malfunctions such as loose parts or leaking fluid
Observe and test equipment after repairs are made
Provide repair cost estimates, and recommend whether repair or replacement
Record maintenance and repair work performed on equipment
Job Requirements:
III. Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Training and Experience: 3 years previous sales, equipment repair experience; Customer service
Job Knowledge: Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, uses, repair and maintenance
Physical Demands: Work requires occasional heavy physical effort; involves standing, much walking and heavy lifting. Works in and out of an air-conditioned environment (Important: This job is classified in the physical demands section of the job description [Form IV-31] as constant medium work and occasional heavy work. This form must be reviewed with and signed by the applicant.)
License or Certification:
Valid driver's license
Stihl silver or gold certification
