Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and Engineer in Training Certification.
  • At least 6+ years of experience in the inspection of bridge and roadway construction projects.
  • The following certifications are preferred:
    • NICET Level III
    • ACI Certification
    • Traffic Control Coordinator (TCC)
    • Osha 10 Hours
    • Applicable CT Department of Transportation Certifications

Responsibilities

  • Abide by and enforce construction safety rules and regulations.
  • Read and understand contract documents, including plans and specifications.
  • Complete daily inspection reports.
  • Assist in the documentation of pay quantities and development of the Final Estimate.
  • Assure general compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Assure documentation, and accuracy of monthly progress payments.
  • Draft contract change orders.
  • Accurately track change order payments.
  • Log and track material inspection, certification, and acceptance for the project.
  • Prepare monthly pay quantities and development of the Final Estimate.
  • Establish project filing system in accordance with CTDOT requirements.
  • Log and manage project submittals, RFI's and correspondence.
  • Create meeting agendas and minutes; distribute and file to relative attendees.
  • Review and file project daily reports.
  • Prepare construction closeout documents.
  • Other duties as needed.
