Role overview: The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of marketing programs RESPONSIBILITIES: Directs the development of the company vision and mission statement in partnership with the President as well as supports the development of long-term strategic business plans. Develops and manages the companys annual marketing budget, providing quarterly updates on overall budget performance as defined with the President. Develops and implements strategic marketing and promotional campaigns and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for property leasing. Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, events and direct mail. Manages internal and retains external resources (such as PR firms or marketing agencies), as necessary, to deliver on projects and achieve leasing and property management efforts. Develops and directs the ongoing content and maintenance of the companys websites and social media channels. Collaborates on the user interface design of new project websites and manages website analytics. Develops company Brand Guidelines including the use of our logo, company colors, standardized font and formatting. Creates templates easily accessible on the intranet. Manages the project photography portfolio with an easy to use interface for future use. Ensures effective control of marketing results and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets. Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Monitors competitor products and marketing activities. Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management. Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events. Leads, empowers and mentors an effective marketing team. Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop an engaged and motivated marketing team that completes high quality work products on time and accurately Manages existing industry relationships and communication. Represents the company at trade association meetings to promote the company. Coordinates a TPS presence (including employee attendance) in industry organizations and at events. Identifies business development and brand awareness opportunities. Assists with key introductions as needed. Identifies and develops relationships with marketing departments across the group of Investco real estate companies to maximize ROI, effectiveness and efficiencies. Assists other departments within the company to prepare content and publications. Directs company sponsorships to maximize industry exposure and investment in accordance with Marketing Strategy. Ensures the design, purchase, and timely delivery of Tarragon Property Services branded collateral, holiday gifts, cards and client gifts. Ensures the quality execution of company events including employee events, grand openings, tours, corporate events and company retreats. Develops a calendar of events and project plans to leverage lessons learned on future events. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES: Bachelors degree and a minimum of five to ten years marketing experience in the real estate and/or property management sector. Maintains existing relationships within the real estate community.
