The Creative Group is looking for a Production Designer for a great opportunity in the Hartford, CT area! For immediate consideration, please email your resume and portfolio to teressa.sindelar@creativegroup.com Collaborate with design and photography team in updating and maintaining a product photography guide. Work directly with the photographers to ensure products are photographed and saved according to guide and web requirements. Knowing photography terms and lingo will be very helpful when working on a set with our photographers. Work both directly and indirectly with merchandising team to insure correct color and other details are shown properly for all of our products. You will need to read and understand red sheets and lineups that detail product information, collections and SKUs. Each product that is shot requires some retouching, ranging from simple light and color corrections to extensive drawing in or out of incorrect details. Knowing which photoshop tool to use for what tasks is paramount You will work with a SR designer to seek approval of retouched products, and may be required to make several rounds of revisions. Receiving, understanding and implementing feedback are all part of the process. One images are reviewed and approved, you will be responsible for properly cropping them and handing them off to the e-commerce team to be uploaded to the website. In addition to the web images, you will be responsible for creating in-store posters and tags for each product. You will again work with the merchandising team whom provides direction, feedback and approval on all posters. You will work with our in-house print shop to ensure the posters are all printed and correctly represent the color and details of the products.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Design, or related discipline 1-4 years previous design experience Proven graphic retouching and design experience (Portfolio and/or work examples required) Proficient in Photoshop and Indesign, as well as a Mac Experience with a drawing tablet preferred (as it is faster when doing retouching work) Ability to juggle multiple projects at a time Professionalism regarding time management, meeting deadlines, communication, collaboration and working with others Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism
