Description

The Creative Group is working with a client based in Washington, DC that is looking for a Public Relations Manager to lead the development and implementation of program, plans, and maintain the image and reputation of the organization. Duties include: Develop content for press releases, media advisories, blogs, newsletters, talking points, events, and other communications materials - both internal and external Create public relations plans and work with the press to maintain positive relationships with existing and new contacts Research trending topics and research media coverage relevant to the organization Manage communications plans to maximize media opportunities Develop targeted media lists for story pitching, media alerts, and news releases Pull weekly reports on outreach and media campaign performances Requirements: 8+ years of experience in related field Bachelors degree in PR, Journalism, Communications and/or Marketing Excellent communication skills Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines Proficient in media tracking and PR software such as Meltwater or TrendKite Experienced with social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter Strong content writing and editing skills Former media pitching and media relations experience If you are interested and immediately available to start this position, please send your updated resume and writing samples to lauren.moreno@creativegroup.com
