Pennsylvania MENTOR, a partner of The MENTOR Network provides services for adults and youth in nurturing and safe environments where they can achieve and maintain independence. Behavioral Health Technician
Do you want to work in a dynamic work environment where no day is ever the same as the next? In this role your tasks will be diversified and you will be supporting our mission.
Provide 1:1 and intervention including behavior modification techniques and proactive strategies to stabilize the child or adolescent as outlined in the service plan.
Work collaboratively with manager and team members to ensure the service plan is meeting the child's needs and recommends other services.
Provide therapeutic supervision of children in our care during treatment and educational activities.
Support family and school personnel in their efforts to stabilize the child by providing information, guidance, modeling and counseling.
Document behavioral progress and collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other staff.
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Criminal Justice or a related Human Services field OR
Bachelor's Degree in another field of study and 1 yearexperience working directly with children or adolescents OR
- Associate's Degree or 60 credits towards a Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years full-time paid work in a job working with children or adolescents.
A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance
