This role is responsible for PC&IS technology developments. This includes software, hardware, process and equipment, and digitization development in the seamless global R&D/PS organization supporting the Global Fem Care business.

This role offers opportunity to drive the “best-in-class” controls technology for Global Fem Care. The applicant will be responsible for end-to-end control system development from feasibility to integration and demonstration. Individual will leverage the latest digitization tools to analyze performance data against requirements. The candidate will help both on important FEI projects as well as global Fem Care initiatives.

DEMONSTRATED TECHNICAL MASTERY: The successful candidate must have technical skills and hands-on experience in the machine control PC&IS discipline including: electrical design, motion control (Rockwell), mechatronics, PLS/SOE systems, machine vision (Cognex), PLC/HMI software (Rockwell), and industrial control networks. Requires working knowledge of global electrical and machine safety standards.

DEMONSTRATED TECHNICAL MASTERY: This role requires the ability to develop and implement control strategies and innovative solutions for Web handling, high speed converting process transformations, and basic web modeling. Experience with CIP Motion, Nordson glue systems, Cognex Vision Systems, and high-speed printing are a plus. This role will provide opportunities for hands on experience leading on machine testing, troubleshooting, and resolution for these technologies.

INNOVATE FOR GROWTH: Applicant needs to stay in touch with new technologies which enable PC&IS technology breakthroughs, leverage modeling and simulation technologies, drive the theoretical and applied development of prototype systems, and determine how to efficiently integrate them into our global standard platforms. Applicant will recommend and lead testing of these technologies in the GPDF PRL as we continue to integrate new PC&IS capabilities.

Technical understanding in the PC&IS machine control discipline, innovation mindset, skills in creating and executing PC&IS definition and designs, basic skills in modeling & simulation/emulation of control systems, and skills to provide hands-on implementation and support for flexible test stand development work and technology demonstration activities.
Applicant can expect to learn and build technical mastery in web handling applications, machine and motion control, industrial sensing, and machine vision through hands on experience. Applicant will learn how to leverage digital tools to enable predictive scale-up from model to manufacturing with real-time performance data.


You'll be a great fit, if you have:
• BS/MS Chemical, Mechanical, and Electrical degrees are preferred.
• Other BS/MS Aeronautical, Environmental, and Civil Engineering degrees may be considered.
• Engineering modeling and simulation skills are desirable.
