How will you make an impact?
As a Data Scientist, you will be part of a team dedicated to increasing business efficiency of a Fortune 200 Company. This new position provides an exciting way for an experienced Data Scientist to employ a cross section of machine learning and analytic processes to develop solutions that will improve efficiency and drive revenue.

You will quickly grasp the complex business concerns and opportunities, translate them into algorithms, and communicate the results to stakeholders with varying degree of technical background. You will be challenged to develop new analytic capabilities for a wide variety of projects while working closely with the Data Science Program Manager and playmaking council, to identify revenue and lead opportunities, recommending the best marketing actions based on predictive modeling.

What will you do?

  • Leverage artificial intelligence and automation to enhance business processes.
  • Be part of a team to identify business problems and areas of opportunities for transplantation from business questions to quantitative analyses.
  • Apply advanced data algorithms to build models which could include customer acquisition, up sell and cross sell, gap analysis, customer retention, and others.
  • Develop visualization and key performance indexes to track effectiveness of marketing and guide marketing decisions.
  • Work with business leads to understand market trends and dynamics for predictive analytics solutions.
  • Translate existing models and algorithms into specific use for Healthcare Market Division needs.
  • Refine and automate existing tools and processes.
  • Effectively respond to requests for ad hoc analyses.

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, statistics, applied math or related field OR Master's Degree plus 4+ years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, statistics, applied math or related field
  • Business analytics knowledge required; pricing or marketing analytics a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience with big data frameworks and tools such as Databricks and Spark
  • Experience with one of SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
  • AWS/Cloud Computing
  • Exposure to a variety of operating systems and computing platforms
  • Familiarity with available Open Source solutions that will boost the team's effectiveness
  • Proficiency in Python or R
  • Exposure to other languages such as C, C++, Java or .NET a plus (note the “.” before .NET)
  • Familiarity with SAS helpful
  • Understanding of clinical diagnostic market and/or laboratory distribution a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Extracting data from multiple sources, cleaning and validating for duplicates and other anomalies.
  • Employing math and statistics into algorithms to generate real-time predictive systems.
  • Align and adapt business problems to the most efficient machine learning algorithm.
  • Write code from scratch to create solutions that don't align with any available turnkey packages.
  • Developing presentations to present complex solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding how to create a computationally efficient solution.
  • Proactively create solutions as opportunities are identified.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects to execute responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Must embrace team spirit and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to communicate across business areas and with executive leadership.
