Director, HR – Nucleic Acid Therapeutics (NATx)

Location/Division Specific Information

A newly established business unit, our Nucleic Acid Therapeutics business has been developed to play a significant role in future therapeutic and vaccine development. This HR Business Partner role will be critical in launching the business unit, building out the leadership team and developing a business strategy to capture significant growth and impact.

As HR Director, you will collaborate with global business leaders and executives to turn forward-thinking strategy into action, resolving talent gaps and seizing opportunities that support our goals of hiring, engaging, developing, and retaining outstanding talent.

What will you do?

Talent Mindset

Develop talent strategy and solutions that reinforce our business strategy and advance our goals to attract, retain, develop, and engage diverse, hardworking talent.

Business Acumen and Data Insight

Use business metrics to improve talent and business capabilities. Build understanding of industry, market, and functional trends to craft business-specific talent strategies driven by data insights.


Mentor people managers in navigating leadership and HR matters, including talent development, engagement, and performance. Stay abreast of changes in HR law and issues which have the potential to impact the business, sharing knowledge with business and HR teams.

Change Leadership

Motivate change by devising organizational design, development, and change management solutions. Encourage consistency with our 4i values (Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement).

Organizational Adaptability and Resolve

Seek the expertise of Country HR Leads and/or Field HR Director for generalist support. Establish a strong organizational network that promotes a "One HR Team" approach in which activities are core, common, and consistent.

Project/Process Management

Coordinate HR resources, delegate tasks to HR Generalists and/or HR Specialists, and ensure the successful implementation of initiatives. Assess work requests from across the organization and balance priorities.

How will you get here?


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.


  • 8-10 years of comprehensive HR experience in a global environment.
  • Experience as a senior HR business partner supporting executive leadership.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, heavily matrixed, and diverse environment.
  • Exposure to Process Improvement approaches

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of contemporary practices in the administration of HR policies.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Project management and presentation skills.
  • Consultation skills with the ability to influence leaders.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and act with tact and emotional intelligence.
  • Skilled in developing professional relationships with leadership, subordinates, and peers.
