Position Summary:

The Market Development Manager, NGS is responsible for the development and implementation of local and regional market development campaigns for our NGS solutions to generate leads and opportunities that support yearly revenue objectives for assigned products. In addition, they will work closely with the Commercial organization to guide and support them with analysis, targeting and customer-specific sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement annual regional tactical market plans in coordination with AOP priorities and budgets to promote assigned products and solutions, updating quarterly or as necessary and networking them with Product Management and Commercial leaders.
  • Build effective go-to-market strategies that increase customer acquisition, retention, expansion, and penetration by communicating clear value to the target audience, identifying buying windows, and managing marketing mix based on buyer's journey to increase engagement and conversion
  • Manage a variety of simultaneous marketing projects autonomously, in a fast-paced environment, adhering to timelines while working efficiently and closely with team members, marketing leadership, and critical stakeholders
  • Coordinate with external and internal cross-functional teams to facilitate the conversion of marketing ideas and messages into compelling programs/campaigns leading to increased revenue, improved customer intimacy, and growth in a dynamic environment.
  • Assist in the evaluation, selection, and management of outside vendors that contribute to marketing program effectiveness
  • Drive the development of content, sales tools, collateral, and media, in conjunction with Marketing Communications team, to support campaigns
  • Leverage customer and market insights to develop tools that shorten the sales cycle
  • Gather market and customer research and relevant competitive activities on assigned products and solutions, and communicate findings with Product Management / Marketing
  • Use available tools to evaluate marketing program performance and craft actionable insights to improve marketing program, channel, and tactic effectiveness

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, medical laboratory sciences
  • Relevant experience in molecular diagnostics, next generation sequencing, or direct-to-clinician marketing
  • 3-5+ years in marketing, sales, product development, or related field
  • Experience with primary and secondary market research and segmentation techniques.
  • Familiar with automated Sales and Marketing tools (e.g.,, Eloqua, Showpad, etc.)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment supporting multiple stakeholder groups simultaneously.

  • Strong project management experience in managing projects from inception to production
  • Ability to travel as needed.
