How will you make an impact?

The Procurement Sourcing Specialist III is responsible for all functions needed to ensure the lowest total cost of purchased materials. This role's primary objective is to balance maximum product availability with strategic inventory plans.

What will you do?

  • Utilizing MRP/ERP knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing strategic and optimal production plans.
  • Coordinate the planning of schedules and inventory control parameters for the assigned products and services consistent with ERP and MRP requirements or as arranged with requisitioners.
  • Utilize statistical methods, such as Re-Order Points, and best practices for FG inventory planning.
  • Initiate purchase orders and amendments based on forecasted demand.
  • Maintain standard lead-times and service objectives in the ERP system, while minimizing the use air freight and other expedite costs.
  • Secure and analyze quotations, negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, and recommend suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.
  • Manage supplier relationships with current and prospective suppliers to determine supply capabilities, transportation logistics inventory control and management; negotiates prices and delivery terms with guidance from a Procurement Supervisor or the Procurement Division Business Partner for assigned responsibilities.
  • Coordinate as appropriate quality matters and engineering changes/developments between company activities and suppliers.
  • Support KPI performance metrics for inventory health, purchase order management, vendor performance, and PPV.
  • Communicate effectively with business leads, SIOP, planning and other internal and external customers to assure supply.

How will you get here?
Education

Bachelor's Degree in in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or other business-related discipline. Certification in CPIM or CSCP a plus. Six Sigma Green / Black Belt Certification.

Experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant procurement and planning experience in a manufacturing supply chain.
  • Relevant experience in the Life Science or Medical Device industry.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Strong analytical skills combined with practical business acumen.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrix and diverse cross-functional team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global organization, within operations and with external clients.
  • Agility in managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently and within a team to drive results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, working knowledge of MS applications - Outlook, Power Point, Word, OneNote, Teams
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards Enterprise One (E1) Oracle
  • Ability to work independently, typically initiating own tasks with input/guidance from manager.
