How will you make an impact?
From driving market share through generating, qualifying and nurturing leads that build pipeline for the ANZ sales organisation's Life Sciences business.
This role owns the process of discovering, engaging and advancing new opportunities from initial outreach to the point of hand-off to the sales force. A key requirement is to conduct business dealings with customers in a way that creates a superior experience that will set the stage for future product sales.

What will you do?

  • Prospect into multiple organisations through phone calls, networking, e-mail/e-marketing, social media and other information sources to produce qualified leads and set appointments at a rate that is aligned with the organisation's growth plans.
    • Data sources include but are not limited to:
      • Select recipients of mailers/emailers – ie literature downloads
      • Select recipients of invitations to seminars/webinars, roadshows, other events
      • Other Marketing leads
      • Sample requests
      • Awarded research grants
      • Lost opportunities
  • Achieve or exceed goals for qualified leads and appointments set on a monthly basis
  • Qualify sales leads based upon specific lead qualification criteria definitions.
  • Manage a leads pipeline with persistent focus to obtain and win business.
  • Provide baseline research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information prior to prospecting calls.
  • Utilise a CRM system to accurately and effectively track activity; and update account, contact, lead and opportunity information, as appropriate.
  • Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the Company technology.
  • Promote the Company's solutions with various management levels and professionals across technical and business disciplines.
  • Articulate the Company's value proposition to decision-makers across multiple industries to assess buying interest.
  • Develop superior customer service relationship with prospects.
  • Proactively continue company product and competitive product and market knowledge via website, on-line webinars, and marketing information.
  • Participate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns, special projects as presented by the Company to develop appropriate sales development skills consistent with Company philosophy, policies, and procedures.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent relevant experience in life sciences (preferable)
Experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a Sales, Demand, or Lead Generation focused role (preferable)
  • Previous industry/lab experience (preferable)
  • Experience and ability to build and maintain cross-departmental, multi-functional and collaborative relationships preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with business software applications including MS Outlook Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel,) and virtual communication tools required.
  • Knowledge of marketing techniques and databases used in marketing a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred; or an equivalent CRM solution.
