Job Title- Scientist I

Work Hours:Thursday-Sunday 8:00 AM-6:30 PM

Assay Development and Analytics (ADA) is a division of Process Development (PD) at Viral Vector Services (VVS) in Alachua, FL. The PD division is responsible for the transfer and development of client processes into GMP ready procedures. ADA is responsible for developing the analytical assays needed to evaluate these products. ADA assays will transfer to GMP with the process.

How will you make an impact?

This position will work in the ADA laboratories to develop and conduct cell-based assay that support process development and quality control of biopharmaceutical products being developed and manufactured at Brammer Bio.

What will you do?

  • Under direct supervision, develop and execute cell-based assays
  • Under direct supervision, develop and execute nucleic acid and protein based assays
  • Routine assays such as qPCR, ddPCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE
  • Order laboratory supplies, maintain required inventory, participate in laboratory upkeep and cleaning
  • Other assigned duties as per business needs

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor's in Biology, Chemistry or related field

Experience:

  • Cell line maintenance
  • Protein techniques (SDS-PAGE, ELISA)
  • DNA techniques (qPCR, ddPCR)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively to groups of customers and employees
  • Excellent organizational skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
