Overview

The Count Team Attendant will protect company assets and account for all funds associated with gaming and non-gaming revenues pursuant to the minimum internal control standards required by the Tribal Gaming Agency. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.



Essential Functions

  • Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's “Winning Attitude” company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
  • Remove empty and replace table game drop boxes and bill validator cans from storage carts.
  • Empty contents of all gaming and non gaming drop box, validator, envelope, etc. Sort, stack and process all contents.
  • Operate count equipment in a safe, efficient and cautious manner to minimize mechanical equipment malfunction and potential injury.
  • Enter all gaming and non gaming revenue into count machines and computer programs. Manually count and verify all revenue totals. Balance figures to the required documentation.
  • Responsible for count room cleanliness and maintaining a sanitary work environment.
  • Responsible for removing and/or replacing bill validator cans in all slot machines according to daily drop schedule.
  • Inspect drop and count equipment daily, and report any mechanical issues to the Count Team Manager. Make service calls to equipment vendors as necessary.
  • Supervise and coach Count Team Members on proper count procedures on a daily basis. Resolve problems as they arise during the count process. Ensure company policies are being enforced and safety guidelines are being followed.
  • Empty contents of all gaming and non-gaming drop boxes, validators, envelopes, etc. Sort, stack and process all contents.
  • Operate count equipment in a safe, efficient and cautious manner to minimize mechanical equipment malfunction and potential injury.
  • Enter all gaming and non-gaming revenue into count machines and computer programs. Manually count and verify all revenue totals. Balance figures to the required documentation.
  • Evaluate the count process periodically and make adjustments to mitigate potential work flow stoppage and meet processing time requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Hazard Communication Standard for your area.
  • Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals.
  • Attend property provided training classes as designated by the Count Team Manager.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Large cash-handling experience is required, including experience working with currency counter equipment.
  • Supervisory experience is required. Count Room experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic data entry skills including 10-key by touch.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to understand gaming regulation minimum internal control standards and requirements for drop and count.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
  • Ability to crouch, kneel, push, turn, carry, and pull.
