Description

Responsible for the accurate and timely reconciliation and certification of general ledger accounts with a high level of attention to detail.  Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly general ledger account reconciliations, certifications, and additional reporting as applicable. Responsible for researching and resolving discrepancies while collaborating with various departments as required.  Monitors accounts to ensure proper accounting policies, controls and procedures are in place.   Develop accounting narratives and procedures for general ledger reconciliations or new business processes.    Preparation of complete and accurate manual general ledger entries with supporting documentation for corrections or adjustments.   Work on projects independently or as part of a team.  Manage multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines efficiently and accurately.   Support with audit requests, writing and maintaining desktop procedures, and manage ad hoc projects as assigned.



Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
         High school diploma or equivalent
         Five or more years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping practices and principles

  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with similar deadlines

  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal

  • Personal computer and 10 key skills required
