This position will support financial forecasting, analysis and valuation of Direct Mail credit card acquisition campaigns. The person in this role will be responsible for gathering insights from historical data, applying them to develop financial forecasts, run financial models and aggregations, advise on the profitability of the targeted customer segments, and flag any potential risks or opportunities associated with those segments. Other key responsibilities include:
Analyze and interpret key performance data and communicate findings and recommendations
Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of potential campaigns
Interact with cross functional teams (e.g. Marketing, Risk Management, Product, etc.) on developing financial assumptions and potential offer structures
Conduct ad-hoc analyses and prepare presentations to meet financial, regulatory/compliance, strategic or risk/opportunity sizing goals
- Bachelor's degree
- Eight or more years of experience in financial analysis activities
Required Skills & Experience
Thorough knowledge of valuation techniques and financial metrics including NPV, IRR, ROA/ROE and other banking profitability metrics
Knowledge of payment industry and credit card economics and key drivers preferred
Detailed financial modeling experience
Knowledge of bank-specific financial statements and key metrics (P&L, balance sheet, capital)
Ability to present complex data in a comprehensive yet concise manner
Ability to work independently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to think “big-picture” while maintaining attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills
Interest in learning new concepts and acquiring new skills
Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data
MBA and/or CFA preferred
