Assistant Patient Care Manager, General Medicine, Full Time Nights, University of Chicago Medicine Hyde Park, IL
Shift Hours: 10:00pm-8:00am 4 days a week and some weekends. (schedule may vary)
We're hiring for an Assistant Patient Care Manager for General Medicine as a full time eveningsfor the University of Chicago Medicine Hyde Park, IL.

The Assistant Patient Care Manager (APCM) will be responsible and accountable for over-seeing the operations and patient flow of a designated Care Center on her/his respective shift. Duties include completing daily or shift specific quality audits and Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) boards, facilitate daily huddles with staff, and directing delivery of quality, patient-centered care in a financially responsible manner. This is in collaboration with and under the supervision of the Patient Care Manager (PCM). In the absence of the PCM, the APCM assumes responsibility for the unit. APCM supports PCM with 24/7 coverage of the unit.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills are needed to maintain an open network of communication among staff members, care center and sector leadership, and other health care professionals and departments. Specialty certifications preferred.
Cardiovascular Telemetry Assistant Patient Care Manager Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher required; Master's Degree preferred
- Current Illinois RN license
- Ability to effectively communicate
Assistant Patient Care Manager Preferred Qualifications:
- Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Nursing management experience preferred
